Gagra

Gagra, along with Pitsunda and Novy Afon, is one of Abkhazia's most famous resorts. Small and cozy, the town lies on the narrow 15 km. long strip of land along the Black Sea coast between Psou and Bzyb rivers.

Gagra is a genuine subtropical garden. It is renowned for its picturesque seaside promenade and beautiful parks, of which the seaside park is the most remarkable. Gagra is more or less split into "old town" and "new town", with New Gagra abuzz with activity and Old Gagra a great place for serene, romantic walks in a beautiful park dotted with fountains.
